The David Geffen Medical Scholarships


The David Geffen Medical Scholarships will position recipients to immediately pursue careers in clinical practice, teaching, research and public service, giving them the tools to become leaders in health care, in the community, in academic medicine and in health care policy – without the economic burden.

The merit-based scholarships provide full financial support for nearly 20% of entering medical students annually.

Mr. Geffen, world-renowned entertainment executive and philanthropist after whom our medical school is named, has once again made a transformative gift to medical education. This time he has established a $100-million scholarship fund that will cover the entire education costs for a significant portion of students entering the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
